Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at the Salem Regional Medical Center. She was born April 19, 1951, in Salem, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Jean (Saltsman) Martin. Sharman had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. James Lehwald Jr. for three years and Dr. Gene Schaefer for 20 years. She was Presbyterian by faith. Sharman was a 1969 graduate of Western Reserve High School, four-year majorette, one of the very few people to play contra bass clarinet in a high school concert band and a member of the VFW Auxiliary Ellsworth Post 9571. Sharman loved to golf. Survivors include her husband, Michael D. Callahan, whom she married April 19, 1986; a brother, Steve (Nadine) Martin of Canfield; a niece, Andrea Martin; and a nephew, Ben Martin. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
